Sautéed Vegetables
Ingredients
1 small red onion
4 medium sized leeks
1 bunch broccoli
3 carrots
2 small cloves of garlic
3 stalks of celery
1 tsp. ginger
½ tsp. cumin
½ tsp. red pepper flakes
Salt and pepper to taste
2 Tbs. teriyaki sauce
2 ½ Tbs. olive oil
Preparation
- Allow 2 Tbs. of olive oil to heat in a skillet.
- When ready, add the onions and leeks and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Next, sauté the broccoli, carrots, and garlic for 3 minutes. Sprinkle in the ginger, cumin, red pepper flakes, salt and pepper during this process.
- Add the celery and cook for 2-3 more minutes with the last 1/2 Tbs. of olive oil.
- Turn off the stove and allow the vegetables to slightly cool in the skillet, and then stir in the teriyaki sauce. Keep covered until time to serve.
